Converting to a dry clutch is a professional-level modification that requires specific tools and attention to detail:

  1. Required Tool: You must use the STM Slipper Clutch Tool (UTL-0030) to safely and accurately torque the assembly. Using standard tools can damage the delicate aluminum components.
  2. Case Modification: Depending on your specific year and cover choice, some minor machining or modification to the outer clutch cover area may be necessary to ensure proper clearance for the dry assembly.
  3. Torque Specs: The clutch cover mounting bolts should generally be torqued to 12Nm (8.85 ft-lbs). Always refer to your specific model’s shop manual for internal engine mount specs.
